VocalEssence invites you to hear more about our programs by getting a behind the scenes look at what we do. Pick one of our three free events, or come to all of them! Each event will include a unique opportunity to meet our artists, hear about VocalEssence, and get a glimpse into what happens behind the scenes.

Head backstage at Orchestra Hall to meet guest artist Melanie DeMore, Associate Conductor G. Phillip Shoultz, III, and participants of VocalEssence WITNESS, which offers in-school workshops for students and invites schools to attend the VocalEssence WITNESS Young People’s Concerts. Stay to hear a sneak peek of the VocalEssence WITNESS: Underground Railroad concert dress rehearsal.

Head backstage at The Ordway to meet the VocalEssence ¡Cantaré! Composers and watch elementary students prepare for this year's VocalEssence ¡Cantaré! Community Concert, which will celebrate the music and culture of Mexico.

VocalEssence Vintage Voices Dress Rehearsal

Visit the Sabathani Vintage Voices Choir and watch their final dress rehearsal for their concert that evening. After the rehearsal, join the choir for snacks to talk to them about their experiences with VocalEssence Vintage Voices, which brings musical residency programs to local senior centers.
